How we work – from the first survey to final handover

Listening

Your first conversation is with Daniel Braun – on the phone or at your property, and it usually takes half an hour. It is about what you are planning, what bothers you and what you expect. And about what you expressly do not want – that is often the more important list.

Afterwards both sides know whether the project is a fit for us. If it is not, we tell you in that same conversation.

Understanding

Two of us come and look at the building – envelope, services, condition. For a clearly defined project one visit of about two hours is enough; for complex ones we go deeper and come a second time. Only then do we talk about measures.

You receive a written assessment you can go on using even without us.

Structuring

From the building survey we produce a proposal: the measures in a sequence, the dependencies between them, and for each step an order of magnitude for the budget. Depending on the scope, this takes us one to two weeks.

The result comes in writing, so you can read it at your own pace and discuss it with others. Afterwards there is something on the table you can talk about in concrete terms – not a brochure.

Deciding

We go through the options together, with their consequences – including the uncomfortable ones: what each sequence means, what can be postponed and what cannot, where economising now costs you later. You decide; we explain.

Only then is the quotation drawn up – with fixed line items instead of placeholders, so the figure at the end matches the figure at the start.

Delivering

The schedule is fixed before work begins, and your point of contact stays the same for the whole construction period. If something shifts, you hear about it before it happens – not afterwards. At the end of each working day the site is tidy and walkable – especially when you are living in the house during the work.

The project ends with a joint final handover at which nothing is left open – and you keep the documentation of what was done.
